Hot Work Procedures in Residential Buildings

The purpose of this document is to provide minimum standards for the control of hot work
in residential buildings such as apartment buildings, townhouses and row houses. Fires growing out of hot work can have devastating effects due to increased likelihood of combustible construction, high concentration of combustible contents, and tenants who may not be able to evacuate quickly.
