2020 Success Stories from the Community Housing Transformation Centre

The Community Housing Transformation Centre was established through a pan-Canadian network of housing organizations, with backing from CMHC as a vehicle to support the sharing of sector tools, knowledge and resources.

This session featured Stéphan Corriveau, Executive Director and Aude Morel, Program Manager for the Centre to share some of the successful projects they’ve supported this year. In addition to reflecting on these successful proposals, our presenters discussed the services and funding available through the Centre for others who may wish to access support.

Examples include:
– Achievement by sector groups including mobilizing tenants as a way to push for development
– Leveraging equity to densify sites
– Establishing Development Support Systems
– Enhancing municipal commitment to support community housing initiatives in St. John’s.
